We are a praying church. We always have a short prayer meeting before we start the service from about 10:45 till 11:00 so we can come before God's throne with the right attitude.

We pray for people in need. We will put prayer requests on this page so you can add your prayers to ours.

Prayer Groups

There are a number of prayer groups in Camberwell, Thamesmead and Kilburn hosted by members of the church. You are welcome to attend any of these. Go to the prayer group page for details.

Sylvia Stilwell's daughter, Lisa O'Donoghue, is now in remission from the cancer.

Unfortunately she is still suffering from an illness, peripheral neuropathy, that she had prior to the cancer which has returned. This causes mobility difficulties and some pain.

Please pray for Lisa's continued and complete recovery, and pray for her mother, husband, two children and extended family.

Hannah has been working for the Christian organisation near where she lives for the past two years.
We give thanks that funding was obtained at the last minute for continuation of Hannah's position until August.
Please pray that funding will be extended beyond August and that Hannah will continue to do a great work on the outskirts of Liverpool and will make a difference in the lives of the young people she serves.

Dan is elderly, housebound and very lonely. He has many qualifications but no easy way to be useful and make a little money.
We give thanks that Dan's situation has been alleviated. He came to church on Easter Sunday and met both the WCG and Salvation Army congregations at Camberwell.
Dan has subsequently found the confidence to get out and join a computer class at a local learning centre.
Continue to pray for all elderly people who have become forgotten by the people around them.

We heard today that John's mother died this week at the age of 92.
We thank God for her life and pray for John's whole family in their time of grieving.

Thank you for your prayer contributions.
